The Better Business Bureau of Minnesota and North Dakota is proud to be known as “the first BBB” in the world. Started in Minneapolis in 1912 as a “Vigilance Committee” of the Minneapolis Advertising Federation, area businesses came together to promote truth in advertising. Nearly a century later, the BBB continues to be a leader in advancing marketplace trust with a variety of programs and services for both businesses and consumers.
With more than 6,300 locally Accredited Businesses, the Better Business Bureau of Minnesota and North Dakota is a not-for-profit organization led by CEO Dana Badgerow, and a 22-member volunteer board of directors. Board members, who generally serve a three-year term, are business owners and executives, representing a variety of industries, professions, and company sizes, as well as organizational partners such as higher education.
If you are interested in nominating an individual to serve on the BBB Board of Directors, please contact Dana Badgerow at
