News Alert from the North Dakota Attorney General
December 13: The North Dakota Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division has advised us that a 'company' calling itself Atwater Brokerage is offering consumers advance fee loans and claiming to be located in Bismarck (ND). The company is NOT located in Bismarck (a non-ND resident lost $936 in this scam through a wire transfer to Canada) and advance fee loans are illegal in the U.S. Because the ND Attorney General's Office has no jurisdiction over this entity (due to the fact it's not located in North Dakota), consumers who have lost money to Atwater Brokerage are encouraged to file complaints with the FTC (

www.ic3.gov.
